Ever-Green Energy is seeking a Marketing and Communications Generalist to join our Marketing and Public Relations team. In this position, you will use your strong writing and marketing skills to promote the Ever-Green brand and strategically elevate company success stories of operating, advancing, and decarbonizing district energy systems across the US.

This position is hybrid out of our downtown Saint Paul, Minnesota, office.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and contribute to a content calendar including creating engaging and relevant newsletters, blogs, posts, graphics, and press releases that attract target audiences and apply key messages in company tone and voice. 
  • Develop and implement digital marketing strategies for web, email, and social that align with company and team goals. Strategies will target key audiences, apply market and channel research and analysis, and use effective tactics to reach identified audiences. 
  • Support company websites including contributing strategy and content; facilitating regular content and software updates; and optimizing website content and structure for improved user experience and search engine optimization. 
  • Develop marketing, business development, and sales materials such as proposals, reports, briefs, presentations, and handouts through drafting tailored messages, editing, proofing, and use of brand templates. 
  • Manage marketing projects including facilitating kick off, goal setting and team alignment, facilitating review from multiple stakeholders, managing vendors, and tracking milestones and deadlines. 
  • Support customer and community relations through outreach and events including lunch and learns, conferences, appreciation events, receptions, conferences, and more.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, environmental or natural sciences, or related field 
  • A least five years of experience in marketing and communications; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. 
  • Demonstrated success in leading content and digital marketing initiatives and contributing to marketing strategy 
  • Proven ability to apply marketing best practices 
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofing experience 
  • Strong detail orientation and critical thinking 
  • Website strategy and management experience 
  • Social media management experience 
  • Email marketing experience

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with B2B audiences 
  • Experience in energy, engineering, science, or another technical field 
  • Graphic design experience a plus
