Your Story.

The Sr. Communications Partner is responsible for building and promoting a positive employee experience among employee audiences by developing or overseeing the development and deployment of effective, strategic and engaging communication plans and messages. Responsible for managing the day-to-day relationship with the Digital Workplace Team and HR Tech Team to ensure continued development of the internal communication technology platforms necessary to connect Sargento Family members to the company and to one another.

What You Do.

Internal Communications Planning and Execution

  • Interprets and effectively communicates business decisions and strategies to ensure employee understanding and engagement. 
  • Leads communications efforts for sensitive issues, some of which involve significant change for a specific audience and/or the entire organization. Develops strategies, key message documents, and other content to help audiences understand and support change. Safeguards confidential information prior to its release. 
  • Helps develop meeting strategy and content for large department meetings, town halls, business updates, etc. 
  • Manages the weekly Internal Communications Team meeting and Teams Project Tracker to ensure appropriate planning and integration across the team. Monitors staff capacity, and as necessary, recommends recalibration of staff time for highest priority projects. 

Technology Solutions Development and Maintenance (In collaboration with Digital Workplace Team and HR Tech Team)

  • Articulates business requirements for creative and cost-effective solutions that enable the Comms Team to deliver digital and print communications to internal audiences such as The BLOCK, BLOCK TV and digital boards. Focuses on solutions that enable targeting and message prioritization to minimize overload for message recipients. 
  • Serves as Comms lead for technology implementation projects that enable the Comms Team to deliver digital and print communications to internal audiences. Coordinates efficient and effective involvement of other Comms Team members. 
  • Oversees development and maintenance of content management system protocols, style guides, and content archival protocols.

Your Education and Experience.

  • Seven or more in years internal or corporate communications roles with increasing responsibility. Supervisory experience preferred. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related field. 
  • Experience working with leaders at all levels to develop and implement strategic communications initiatives. Able to build relationships quickly and establish credibility with internal customers. 
  • Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills. Must demonstrate ability to create clear, concise messages quickly. 
  • Experience writing for a variety of media and channels. 
  • Experience developing and executing internal communication plans and tactics that drive measurable results. 
  • Experience developing strategies for intranet content, digital newsletters, digital boards. 
  • Working knowledge of web technologies, content strategies and trends. 
  • Demonstrated experience planning, managing, and/or leading complex projects or initiatives. Detail focused with strong collaboration skills.
