88Nine RadioMilwaukee is a non-commercial, listener-supported public radio station designed specifically for Milwaukee. Our mission is to reach a new generation of radio listeners on air, on line and in the community with a unique and adventurous selection of music and short-form public affairs programming.

Launched in 2007, we celebrate Milwaukee – its music, arts and culture, neighborhoods and community organizations. The station celebrates diversity and encourages collaboration and community engagement, while promoting a positive global identity for Milwaukee.

RadioMilwaukee seeks a full-time Assistant Producer of its community initiatives and a news & information host for the weekday morning show.

Responsibilities include interviewing, creating and producing stories for on-air and on-line posting, producing news and information content morning show and delivering news and information live.

Required: professional audio production and creative writing experience, a comfortable on-air style, and an understanding of the music we play, the Milwaukee community, its assets and its leaders. Journalism experience is preferred.

This position requires someone who is good with people, a big-picture thinker, a strong time manager and a team player who is well organized and energetic. Must be eager to be an essential member of the RadioMilwaukee team.

Compensation and benefits commensurate with experience.
