Are you passionate about making an impact on the lives of others? If so, come join the team at Catholic Charities! We are seeking a Content and Grants Specialist at our Administrative Office located in Madison.

This part-time, 23-hour-per week position will provide support to the Director of Communications and Catholic Identity to enhance the organization’s brand, in conjunction with the Director of Mission Effectiveness to increase donor engagement and to solicit and steward grants. Areas of focus for this position will be internal and external communications and content creation, advertising, marketing, and grant writing.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Generate, write, edit, publish, and share content via the Catholic Charities website and social media. 
  • Manage the organization’s social media presence and engagement. 
  • Assist in the design of social media graphics, program brochures, flyers and advertisements. 
  • Assist in writing, editing and dissemination of newsletters. 
  • Responsible for all aspects of the grants process from proposal writing and submission, collaborating with program managers and finance, to stewarding grantors via annual reporting of outcomes. 
  • Produce photos and videos to enhance storytelling. 
  • Work with program directors and staff to curate valuable content. 
  • Assist in managing the organization’s advertising and marketing plan.

Requirements:

  • Catholic Charities embraces the mission and vision of the Catholic Diocese of Madison and works in accordance with Catholic Social Teachings and the moral and ethical values of the Catholic Church. The ideal candidate understands Catholic teaching and can effectively convey the moral and ethical values throughout the communication strategies. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field. 
  • Significant professional experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree. 
  • Excellent writing and editing skills. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Self-motivated and ambitious with a positive, team-oriented attitude. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. 
  • Proven working experience in social media marketing. 
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere. 
  • Experience with WordPress or similar website content management system. 
  • Knowledge of website analytics and SEO.
