The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the marketing department including coordination of marketing, marketing qualified lead (MQL) generation, communications, and promotional materials for WHR Global supporting sales efforts to the external market. Tasked with developing and maintaining marketing strategies and continuing to build the WHR brand through clear and concise messaging on social media, web pages, proposals, and prospecting materials.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Inbound lead generation as the focus of all marketing strategies. 
  • Lead and manage overall SEO strategy with defined growth targets, in coordination with external advisors, while keeping pace with SEO, PPC, social media and internet marketing trends and developments. 
  • Research and implement SEO recommendations for website architecture, content, backlinks, and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords and online visibility, in coordination with external advisors. 
  • Ongoing optimization of SEO efforts, including but not limited to keyword research, on-page optimizations (including keyword insertion/deletion, metadata etc.) landing page optimization, conversion optimization and backlink building and optimization, in coordination with external advisors. 
  • Provide recommendations and execute strategies for content development in coordination with SEO goals. 
  • Revitalize and republish outdated blog posts on WHR’s WordPress site, in coordination with SEO goals, and in collaboration with WHR’s external marketing consultants. 
  • Ownership of whrg.com and is responsible for continuous improvement of the content and performance of WHR’s WordPress site. 
  • Responsible for all social media and must define, develop, and implement the overall social media strategy. 
  • Develop a clear and consistent tone of voice in all major channels that aligns well with the brand and its goals/objectives. 
  • Create and maintain the content calendar to ensure regular content on social throughout the year to align with business goals and position the brands as thought leaders. 
  • Conversion of written case studies, blog posts, and articles into digital assets, such as WordPress blog posts, press releases, and documents designed in Canva. 
  • Manage, review, and perform daily account responsibilities associated with LinkedIn Ads and like systems, in coordination with external advisors. 
  • Maintain and monitor monthly budget caps, impressions, Click-Through Rate (CTR), and other important account metrics, in coordination with external advisors. 
  • Responsible for the design and creation of marketing programs, prospect and current client presentations, policies, reports, and other materials as needed. 
  • Works with Operations and Leadership to identify and implement supplemental materials to expand WHR’s relationships with existing clients. 
  • Works closely with Sales Team to identify new business opportunities and reach growth goals, including weekly sales and marketing meetings, and assistance with the proposal process. 
  • Staying abreast of changes in the marketing environment to best serve the objectives of WHR Global, and continually enhance the marketing offerings and platforms. 
  • Works closely with Sales Team, Operations and Leadership to create and distribute newsletters, benchmark reports, landing pages, and webinars through existing CRM systems. 
  • Assists in creation and marketing of WHR webinars. 
  • Owns the brand management strategy for WHR Global and must maintain brand documents, distribution, and consistency.

Position Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Must possess the ability to work efficiently and accurately in a high-stress fast-paced environment. 
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing, with clients, vendors, and other third-party contacts, as well as with company managers and all other office team members. 
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects and meet critical time deadlines are crucial to this position. 
  • This position is hybrid with fixed days onsite or remote as determined by WHR Global. This position is not eligible for 100% remote in non-pandemic situations and requires the individual to regularly be on-site at headquarters in Pewaukee for face-to-face interactions with colleagues.

Education & Experience:

  • College degree with a marketing, advertising or communications degree is preferred. 
  • 3+ years of marketing or communications experience is required.
