Position Purpose:

We're searching for a passionate and creative Junior Copywriter to join our growing Marketing Department. The purpose of the Junior Copywriter will be to provide direct support to the Senior Copywriter for marketing and advertising projects. The Junior Copywriter is expected to write clear, persuasive, original copy for client communications and Power Wellness branding as assigned. In addition, the Junior Copywriter will work closely with the creative and digital teams to develop holistic marketing campaigns. Success in this position will be demonstrated by your ability to write engaging content that will help boost brand awareness for our clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with writing clear, persuasive, original copy for landing pages and blogs optimized for search engines, direct mailers, print and digital advertisements, brochures, print collaterals, social media post and events, emails, flyers, and other forms of advertising. 
  2. Assist with writing original copy for blog posts for client websites and the Power Wellness website. 
  3. Develop and present creative ideas and concepts, often in partnership with the Marketing and Sales team. 
  4. Familiarize self with Power Wellness’ clients and services, the target audience for campaigns and various collaterals, and the marketing activity of competitors. 
  5. Knowledge and competence with personal computer to include multiple databases, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. 
  6. Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects at one time with continuing changing priorities. 
  7. Proofread copy to check spelling and grammar. 
  8. Conduct research to understand target audiences and market trends. 
  9. High degree of personal integrity, discretion and confidentiality. 
  10. Ability to work independently, accurately and efficiently. 
  11. Strong decision making and problem-solving skills. 
  12. Self-direction, ability to prioritize, and excellent organizational abilities. 
  13. Possesses tact, diplomacy, courtesy and professional attitude when conversing and interacting with clients, contractors, and staff. 
  14. Well developed interpersonal and communication skills. 
  15. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during interactions and work-related relationships with all persons at our managed centers including but not limited to members, guests and team members as provided in the Team Member Handbook at the time of hire.
  16. Any other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Business or other pertinent related field required. 
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in a business or marketing related position, preferably in an advertising agency or client-sided marketing communications department. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including spelling, grammar, and punctuation. 
  • Ability to use word processing software with database and spreadsheet software is highly desirable and preferred. 
  • Must have familiarity and proficiency with most types of modern office equipment. 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects with high level of organizational skills and efficiency. 
  • A team player with the commitment to be flexible and accommodating with respect to the hours we serve our members and clients. 
  • Knowledgeable in basic SEO techniques and a good understanding of using social media for business purposes is not required but a plus. 
  • Candidates will be required to provide examples of work showing range and depth of abilities.
