Our Association is looking for a professional to fill the role of Marketing & Communications Director. The primary functions of this position include develop, design, coordinate and implement the printed and internet communications for the Association. Ensure proper distribution of printed materials to members and produce creative content to effectively market the Association and it's products and services. 

Graphic Design of Association Magazine:

  • Primary responsibility is to compile and edit articles for the Wisconsin Independent Agent magazine
  • Create layout of magazine and insert graphics and text using Adobe Creative Suite
  • Act as a liaison between the advertisers and printing company, verifying appropriate ad placement and electronic conversion of ads. Work with agencies and companies to correct ads that are not up to spec
  • Renew existing advertising contracts throughout the year
  • Solicit new advertisers
  • Source articles, photographs and ads in final layout and send to the printer

Association Marketing and Promotion:

  • Design marketing flyers for educational offerings, events and other Association programs and services
  • Update Association websites with current activities, events and educational offerings
  • Web design of Association website (limited)
  • Design and send weekly e-newsletter and additional Association emails
  • Create marketing videos (limited)
  • Create and manage social media postings

Association Events:

  • Involvement in the creative process of event brochures and related marketing materials
  • Order event marketing materials (signage, lanyards, name badges, etc.)
  • Promote events through e-marketing campaigns, social media awareness, magazine advertising and direct mail

Additional ad hoc responsibilities may include:

  • Basic office responsibilities: answering incoming calls, assist with member questions as able, greet visitors
  • Additional staff and association projects, as needed
  • Work with partner state associations to help with magazine and marketing needs
  • Minimum Associates Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Graphic Design or related field, required
  • Minimum of three years' experience in marketing and graphic design, required
  • Comfortable engaging one-on-one with members and Association contacts Minimum Associates
  • Social Media Advertising, preferred 
  • Ability to use Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office products, required 
  • Video production and editing, preferred
  • Compensation based on experience
