The Marketing Coordinator will provide administrative, marketing and operational support to assigned business units that deliver marketing communications across divisions of New York Blood Center Enterprises (NYBCe). The role assists with coordinating donor promotions, engagement, recognition activities, community partnerships, and volunteer activities. Exceptional organization, communication, and project management skills are required, along with the ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

A typical day for a Marketing Coordinator will include meeting with the Divisional Marketing Manager to identify priorities for the day and week. Activities will support blood and platelet collections needs, including visiting donor centers and blood drives, and the preparation of messaging and materials to encourage blood donations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to support assigned NYBCe marketing programs and initiatives 
  • Manage relationships with NYBCe department contacts and be a reference point for questions or concerns relating to marketing materials 
  • Assist with the production of collateral and merchandise, liaise with vendors and colleagues to meet deadlines and manage inventory records 
  • Fulfillment of sweepstakes prizes 
  • Raise purchase orders and process invoices for payment to vendors 
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of marketing related events and activities 
  • Manage emails and communication resolving moderate to complex donor questions and concerns within a defined timeframe 
  • Assist with community outreach initiatives 
  • Assist with preparing reports, files, and other materials for analytical purposes 
  • Use project management and communication applications to organize and manage assignments

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a program of marketing, business, communications, or another related field is highly preferred.

Experience:

  • Two years demonstrated work experience in customer service, sales, or marketing. 
  • Three years professional work experience is preferred.

Other:

  • Valid driver's license. 
  • Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Office. 
  • Knowledge of project management applications.
