Role:

A collaborative, media-specific account management role responsible for driving media connections betweenCarmichael Lynch and their clients, and where applicable, partner agencies (e.g. the designated creative AOR). This role provides support to ensure client and agency disciplines work together to achieve their marketing and communication objectives. As the media account lead, this person will serve as a liaison between the Carmichael Lynch media team, the client and partner agencies, helping to facilitate strategy and comms planning, as well as budget and timeline management.

Areas of Focus:

  • Understands the role and function of media in order to help facilitate and manage the flow of projects. 
  • Liaises with client and agency teams to foster collaboration and solutions. 
  • Helps manage media-specific timelines and budgets, coordinating with partner agency(ies) on how media timelines impact and integrate with broader comms timelines (e.g. creative development, production, in-market launches). 
  • Monitors all media-specific budget and billing activity. While not responsible for scoping and contract development, will oversee ongoing financial management, including monitoring run rates and time reports, coordinating monthly invoicing, maintaining budget trackers, and securing media authorization approvals. 
  • Participates in internal and external weekly status meetings, as required. 
  • Helps disseminate updates and recaps to ensure communication is maintained between all partners. 
  • While not responsible for developing or executing media strategies, recommendations and plans, should have a working knowledge of media and media analytics in order to facilitate requests, foster collaboration, and translate feedback and POVs. 
  • While members of CL media teams will correspond directly with clients and partner agencies, this person will be a back-up outlet for various communications needs on ad-hoc requests, engaging appropriate agency team members as needed. 
  • Support and communicate with the client’s media team, serving as a point of contact on launch media plans, media requests, media approvals and budget shifts.

Qualifications/Traits:

  • 6+ years advertising or marketing experience, with media knowledge and expertise 
  • Prior background with client relationship management 
  • Thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment 
  • Confident and resourceful, can function with minimal supervision 
  • Possesses excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Exhibit excellent written and oral communications skills 
  • Dynamic agency member, contributing to a positive culture 
  • Experience with full-service integrated agency setting preferred 
  • Execution of media partner activations a plus
