The Welch Group is seeking a dynamic and organized individual to join our team as an Membership and Communications Coordinator. In this role, you will report to the Director of Association Management, and play a crucial part in supporting the operations of association clients with an emphasis on membership and communications management. Client and Membership Support

  • Provide administrative and logistical support to association clients 
  • Provide excellent customer service for members and potential members via email and phone 
  • Maintain databases, mailing lists & records 
  • Process membership applications and renewals 
  • Produce individual and group invoices
  • Coordinate meetings with association clients 
  • Serve as the primary support to association clients’ boards and committees, including drafting minutes, assisting in the preparation of agendas and setting up meetings 
  • Attend and help with client events, as needed 

Communication and Marketing 

  • Develop communications, ensuring consistency of messaging and brand identity across various platforms and media 
  • Draft correspondence 
  • Assist in the development of membership recruitment and retention plans 
  • Prepare social media posts 
  • Maintain client websites 
  • Coordinate regular communication channels, such as newsletters, emails, and social media to provide clients’ members with updates on relevant activities, events, and opportunities

Logistical Support

  • Help with event set-up and take-down requires tasks including moving tables, signage, and other heavy items
  • Transporting event items
  • Provide onsite support for client events
  • Associate or bachelor's degree or a minimum of 2 years in an office environment including experience communicating with external parties and supporting more than one client 
  • Experience in association management/membership software is a plus 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills 
  • Provide excellent customer service in a timely and professional manner 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work under deadlines 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Google Suite 
  • Knowledge of marketing/social media strategies 
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high quality work 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment 
  • Ability to work with a variety of professionals to keep projects on track 

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time 
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office or at off-site events 
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity devices and technology 
  • Occasionally ascends/descends steps 
  • Constantly positions self to maintain files in file cabinets and loading/unloading materials 
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations 
  • On occasion, move or transport items weighing up to 50 pounds for events 
  • Current, valid driver's license 
  • Access to a reliable source of transportation 
  • If working remotely, access to reliable internet

Compensation: $60,000/year, full health and dental benefits, 20 days of PTO, plus Federal holidays, and paid parental leave, 401k with 3% match, flexible working schedule.
