Twin Cities PBS has a growing Giving Team and we have an exciting new opening! The Mid-level Gift Officer manages a portfolio of prospects and donors and assist in planning and implementing activities to build TPT’s mid-level annual giving program.

Salary: $65k - $75K Annually (depending on qualifications).

Hybrid Work Environment: Candidates must live in or be willing to relocate to the Twin Cities Metro area.

Donor Relations (65% of time):

  • Consistently meet or exceed revenue and growth goals through donor cultivation 
  • Manage a portfolio of mid-level donors ($1,000 -$9,999) to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward supporters 
  • Manage a select pool of donors who have upgraded their giving to $10,000+ 
  • Identify donors’ passions and interests, build relationships, and leverage those relationships into meaningful support opportunities 
  • Serve as point of contact for new mid-level members and create a positive experience for donors who transition from membership to mid-level 
  • Actively participate in the creation and execution of fundraising activities and events, including station tours, donor visits and events hosted by the Development Team 
  • Communicate the value and impact of TPT while representing the TPT brand to our community

Mid-Level Strategy and Processes (30% of time):

  • Develop, implement and evaluate custom communication, stewardship, and engagement strategies that successfully retain current mid-level members and upgrade members from mid-level to major gifts 
  • Manages mid-level giving including personalized renewal, upgrades, acquisition, and acknowledgment 
  • Works within the database to track communication, view data, and assist in analyzing data to inform and prioritize individuals and strategies 
  • Meet individual goals as well as helping the team reach group revenue goal

Other Duties as Assigned (5% of time):

  • Participate as an active member of the Revenue Team. 
  • Contribute to shared goals and collaborate with colleagues on achievement of priorities.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned.

Required Experience:

  • 4 years combination of education and successful work experience may be considered, in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree. 
  • 3-5 years of fundraising experience with a demonstrated record of accomplishment with annual giving or major gift area. 
  • 3-5 years of researching and analyzing data to identify top prospects.

Preferred Experience:

  • 7+ years of fundraising experience with demonstrated record of accomplishment with annual giving or major gift area. 
  • 7+ years of researching and analyzing data to identify top prospects. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency managing a CRM to maximize relationship management. 
  • Ability to use discretion when handling and communicating sensitive information 
  • The ability to create effective, high-quality relationships with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. 
  • The ability to work independently and motivate self to achieve success by taking initiative and being detail oriented. 
  • Strong analytical and computer application skills: Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive, Teams. 
  • Strong focus on audience and end user needs 
  • Strong problem solving, organizational and time management skills. 
  • Excellent customer service, oral and written communications, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with all team members. 
  • Commitment to advancing Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (IDEA) priorities within the organization. 
  • Ability to travel to locations in the greater metro area on a frequent basis, partake in some evening and weekend hours for meetings and events. 
  • Occasional travel out of the state.
