Applying proven communication techniques, promote the Foundation’s education and services through public relations and all relevant communication channels. Develop internal and external communications which support the Foundation’s mission and promote its products, services and strategic initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create copy for various Foundation products and services, working with team members to best meet marketing goals. Adjust the tone, voice and quality of information to best engage the target audience while meeting marketing goals. 
  • Support tactics to elevate the Foundation and its products/services/content through social media and other online community platforms. Coordinate daily monitoring, posting, and content development and customer support. Measure and track success of social media initiatives.
  • Support public relations campaigns, contributing to campaign concept and copy writing; and generating targeted media lists. Write and distribute news releases/media advisories regarding International Foundation research, education and services. Respond to requests for information and prepare spokespeople for interviews. Maintain media database and create media measurement reports. 
  • Lead the tactical marketing execution of assigned programs and services by planning and managing promotional campaigns. Included are media planning, campaign/project management, behavioral-based marketing management, copy writing, email marketing, webpage management, social media and oversight of graphic design and the creative process. 
  • Copywriting, messaging, member communication and social media support for the Foundation's wellness affiliate brands. 
  • Support marketing initiatives with creative and cleanly built email communications. Leverage the Foundation’s customer database to target communications effectively and manage a product’s marketing communication campaigns as assigned. 
  • Support the broader business development team in market research, data analysis, identifying growth opportunities, member outreach, tradeshow/event participation, and fostering relationships with key industry stakeholders and influencers.

Supervisory Responsibilities: No formal supervisory responsibilities; however, incumbent may be required to train/mentor more junior staff members.

Travel Requirements: The individual will be required to travel both domestically and internationally 5-10% of the time based on annual calendars. Generally, this will be 3-5 trips per year, each lasting approximately 3-5 consecutive days. For longer trips, the incumbent regularly works on each of the consecutive days, including during nights and weekends. Up to ten (10) additional paid days off work are offered per year for travel-related work conducted on weekend days.

Required Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or similar field. 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Public Relations or similar role. 
  • Demonstrated success in leading the creation of compelling experiences that promote growth and increase engagement. 
  • Proven track record in creating compelling and effective copy for various platforms, demonstrating a deep understanding of messaging, tone, and audience engagement.

Minimum Qualifications/Skills:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Strong social media skills, including content creation and management. 
  • Comfortable working with data analytics tools and web content management systems. 
  • Excellent multitasking abilities and detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy. 
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach to tasks and responsibilities. 
  • Effective organizational skills with ability to manage and prioritize workload efficiently. 
  • Creative mindset and ability to bring innovative ideas to projects. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Comp: The annual salary range for this role starts at $45,000.

Hybrid Work Environment: This position is expected to work from our corporate headquarters office in Brookfield, WI. This is an environment with typical office conditions, including lighting, noise, seating and equipment. New hires are expected to be fully onsite during the training period. Then, once fully trained, the Foundation operates on a 60/40 Hybrid schedule; with 60% being onsite at our headquarters in Brookfield (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays); and up-to 40% being optionally remote (Mondays and Fridays) and as business needs allow.
