Overview:

Are you a skilled Technical Editor or Proposal Writer looking for your next opportunity? Mead & Hunt, a top engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm, is looking for a Technical Editor to join its growing EPC – Renewable Energy Group Marketing Team. You will assist the group by coordinating responses to requests for proposals, qualifications packages,project descriptions, resumes, and client deliverables. We seek candidates experienced with content creation and coordination, document formatting and assembly, and technical editing. Proficiency with Microsoft and Adobe software, along with excellent writing skills, are musts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with business developers, proposal managers, technical staff, and others on the marketing team to coordinate responses and follow-up to proposals and other documents. 
  • Assist with creation, technical writing, editing, research and packaging of proposals, qualifications, client deliverables, and marketing collateral. 
  • Quality Control: Proofread proposals for clarity, grammar, and consistency per EPC-Renewable Energy Group’s and Mead & Hunt’s style guidelines. 
  • CRM (Deltek Vision) database updates, monitoring, data entry and reporting. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

  • Excellent technical editing and writing skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, continuously changing environment with constant deadlines
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).
  • Proficiency in a Microsoft environment (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams).
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Proven organization, problem solving, communication, and interactive skills
  • Familiarity with Architecture/Engineering/Construction (AEC) industry is a plus.
  • Must be able to remain composed in a professional manner when presented with uncomfortable or difficult situations.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, Marketing, or a related field OR Associate degree in English, Communication, Marketing, or a related field plus two years relevant experience OR
  • No degree with at least four years’ relevant experience particularly related to writing or editing
