Ideal candidates must be highly motivated, self-sufficient and effective in developing relationships. We are looking for people who are insatiably curious, resourceful and hungry to learn. Candidates must have uncompromising standards for quality, accuracy and integrity and exceptional writing skills. There is a restlessness to our culture that requires comfort in ambiguity. You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of marketing and communications or related experience

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate complex business, legal, regulatory, national policy and technical issues clearly and accurately
  • You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting, however, may be required to work from home temporarily due to space limitations
  • Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained

Soft Skills:

  • Outstanding speechwriting abilities, a sharp intellect, broad worldview and a confident executive presence that inspires trust
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to different voices and presentation styles that align with a broad range of executive and diverse audiences
  • A bias for collaboration and strong customer service
  • Strong knowledge of the health care industry, policy environment, and internal and external trends that impact the business and our leadership
