JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT:

The Associate Marketing Manager – Seafood & Pet will be responsible for crafting and executing channel and brand marketing strategies to drive profitable growth and customer dedication in the seafood and pet categories. You will partner with our Marketing, Business, and Sales teams to establish marketing plans to enable an outstanding customer experience to deliver valuable offerings for customers and prospects.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Plan, execute and measure marketing strategies, promotions and annual plans for brands, channels, and/or customers 
  • In collaboration with the Sales, Marketing and Business teams, align marketing initiatives with channel value propositions, plans and goals while ensuring marketing offerings support the customer 
  • Act as a project manager ensuring magnificent and timely execution of key brand and channel initiatives based on priorities established through the business planning process 
  • Demonstrating its deep knowledge of customer priorities, this role will help identify areas where additional customer profitability and brand growth can be achieved 
  • Supervise channel performance and metrics and serve as the feedback loop from sales and customers to resolve efficiency of initiatives, including promotional efficacy to improve return on investment 
  • Evaluate and modify promotion or advertising programs 
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff 
  • Manage relationships with advertising agencies and external marketing partners

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business related or equivalent experience 
  • Minimum of four years of relevant marketing experience 
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver timely projects within budget guidelines 
  • Experience executing brand, channel, customer and/or consumer specific campaigns and promotions 
  • Experience engaging directly with customers with a positive impact 
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally to achieve business and marketing objectives 
  • Ability to use consumer and category insights to make recommendations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:

  • CPG or food industry experience 
  • Personal initiative and willingness to deal with ambiguity in a rapidly evolving environment 
  • Strong project management skills 
  • Retail and e-commerce channel experience 
  • Familiarity with Nielsen and/or IRI syndicated market data 
  • Experience building brands
