The Role:

As the Associate Marketing Manager, you will support the development and implementation of customer, brand, category and product strategies. You will be a critical component when it comes to bringing our products to life - from gleaning insights from several data points in order to jump-start the product innovation process, to working cross functionally with product development and supply chain to create our products. You are there every step of the way, offering opportunities for exposure not found in many other organizations.

You Will:

  • Manage multiple customer-related projects by coordinating a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team to execute on time, on quality and on budget 
  • Pull and analyze point of sales (POS) data in order to understand category and product trends to help inform the new product development process and customer presentations 
  • Develop high quality customer presentations with strong articulation of ideas that address customer and consumer needs and leverage data to support fact-based selling and product sell-in strategies 
  • Help develop initiatives to win new business and strategic customers through product selection, assortment strategies and promotional ideas as well as articulation of the Fellowes Mobile unique selling proposition 
  • Help interpret and glean customer/consumer insight to support the development and implementation of category strategies that grow profit and volume, including category direction, new product development and product entries into new segments, pricing and merchandising and distribution strategies 
  • Support strategy by working with internal graphic designers and external agencies to ensure all marketing elements enhance and leverage the brand equity with all constituents 
  • Work with Sales to analyze promotion and product efficiencies and effectiveness that lead to the development and execution of sales priorities for category 
  • Put in extra time beyond a 40-hour work week (to include evenings and weekends) in support of key projects and conference calls with our overseas partners

What You Bring to the Team:

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing or related degree, and/or a combination of education and equivalent work experience 
  • A minimum of two (2) years of marketing, brand or channel management experience, to include experience working with category data (i.e., NPD Group, IRI, Nielsen) 
  • A category management mindset and the ability to utilize analysis for insights and action 
  • Cross-functional team player experience 
  • Experience working with innovation / product development 
  • The ability to evaluate projects that are best for company, consumer and customer 
  • A driven, hard-working and positive attitude 
  • A high level of detail orientation and organization 
  • Leadership skills and the ability to motivate/influence without authority 
  • The capability to work well with and without processes 
  • A strong project management orientation 
  • Excellent business acumen / savvy 
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities 
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills

You May Also Have:

  • A category management background, ideally in CPG 
  • Experience with sales reporting 
  • An interest in learning retail and supporting large, well-known customers
