Brand Planner/Strategist
Job
Full-time
3/31/2020
Chicago Illinois
Chicago, IL

The Opportunity:

You’re insatiably curious. You seek to understand how ideas, products and people work, and how they came to be in the first place. You can relate to Carrie Mathison’s color-coded corkboard and you get that reference because you’re a culture hound. If you didn’t, you figured it out already because your research skills are off the charts.

We want to add someone to our fun, dynamic, and collaborative team who brings passion to the table, and is eager to dive deep into a wide variety of subjects – from cancer research one week to frozen pizza the next. We’re looking for someone who is excited to immerse themselves in the worlds of our consumers, IRL and scour web and third-party tools to uncover the type of insights that inspire creativity, identify relevant trends and inform game-changing recommendations for some of the world’s best brands.

Responsibilities:

  • Approach a challenge with resourcefulness, i.e. a Macgyver-like ability to get the job done
  • Help new business and client teams get smart fast about an industry, a competitive set, an audience, a trend, or a topic via primary and secondary research tools (e.g. Trendkite, Simmons, Mintel, ComScore, Quid)
  • Distill findings into easily digestible summaries, elevating insights from a sea of data, and articulating them in a narrative that is captivating, convincing, and compelling (yes, we love a good alliteration)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in research/insights, strategy, planning or related role
