McDill is seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist to develop and manage highly qualified leads to drive business growth. You will be responsible for managing prospective lead relationships and converting them into portfolio review appointments with key decision makers at target companies that outsource branding, digital and package design services. Sales, networking and relationship-building qualities are a must. This position reports to the VP of Client Services and interfaces daily with the account team.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and establish business relationships with qualified, strategic partners.
  • Build, manage and continually develop the sales process from lead generation to scheduled consultations to achieve goals for new business, through a combination of cold outreach, inbound leads, email campaigns, social media strategies and more.
  • Sell and position our agency offerings, including digital, branding and package design services, as a strategic value-based approach. 
  • Regularly meet with management to review pipeline, sales cycle, and upcoming client meetings.
  • Review current sales opportunities and share client feedback to help shape and improve the sales process and develop new product offerings.
  • Work with marketing and account teams to present new ideas to help generate additional revenue from current clients.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in business development or account management within an agency or marcomm firm, or directly comparable experience working inside a corporation or institution.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Proven track record of managing and building relationships with clients.
  • Proven track record for delivering consistent revenue growth.
  • Highly motivated, energetic personality.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated; driven to meet and exceed goals.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and writing skills.
