Position Details

Channel Marketing Manager
Northern Illinois
Harvey, IL

We are currently searching for a Channel Marketing Manager to be based out of our Harvey, IL facility. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this individual is a key contributor on the corporate marketing team and will develop and execute a channel marketing plan to support growth initiatives. Key aspects of this role include a thorough understanding of Atkore’s GTM strategy, a project management skillset, and a relentless focus on the customer. This position works closely with the VP of Strategic Sales, Director of Commercial Programs, Marketing Communications Managers, customers, and outside vendors, which requires strong relationship building capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or other relevant discipline; with at least seven (7) years’ experience in developing and executing communications strategies, programs, collateral, and events that support Business Unit and Corporate marketing objectives. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.

Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work directly with electrical distributor marketing contacts to support sales growth through product awareness and visibility including creation of ad-hoc promotions, web and digital needs, and sales enablement tools. 
  • Work directly with groups such as IMARK, AD Electrical, and STAFDA and manage marketing programs for sales growth. 
  • Identify unique promotional opportunities, create marketing plan to manage above, and drive activity throughout the year with a focus on the customer. 
  • Lead development of vertical market and solutions-based marketing assets that cascade across various product categories. 
  • Play a key role in commercialization of new products in partnership with Marketing Communications Managers and Product Managers. 
  • Author and edit sales enablement collateral and other marketing assets to promote solutions and company. 
  • Manage and participate in tradeshows to support sales and marketing efforts. 
  • Proactively manage vendor relationships with effective project management, negotiations, and contract development. All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or other relevant discipline required. 
  • Minimum of even (7) years’ experience in developing and executing communications strategies, programs, collateral, and events that support Business Unit and Corporate marketing objectives required. 
  • Proficient and functional knowledge of Microsoft Office including Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. 
  • Excellent researching abilities (with a special focus on internet researching). 
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or other business system based company is a plus.
