Overview:

Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Americas Pro/Systems Marketing, the Channel Marketing Manager, Integrated Systems is responsible for the development and day-to-day management and coordination of communications processes and channel programs for the Integrated Systems vertical within the Americas Marketing Pro/Systems group. This role will work to ensure that sales and marketing management and internal communication groups are aligned with the organization's overall business objectives and messaging for the Integrated Systems brand. The Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development of strategic channel and product communications for Integrated Systems, raising visibility of the Shure Brand, and driving both sales and market share. They will act as an extension of the Pro/Systems group to execute and refine channel activities. May manage the work efforts of Specialists with responsibility for staffing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes product-specific and needs-based marketing communication strategies for launching new and existing products, including specific campaigns, promotions and other initiatives to increase sales across channels – working directly with key Integrator accounts and their marketing teams as appropriate. 
  • Collaborate regularly with Market Development team to source, develop and document relevant case studies of success stories, best practices, and relevant AV industry topics. 
  • Identify and recommend innovative methods within social media, virtual learning, and video capabilities to complement traditional communication platforms in conjunction with Public Relations, Artist Relations and Web Marketing and training departments. Participate and recommend social marketing activities and contribute as a part of the social marketing team. 
  • Create effective methods for tracking communications executions, establishing metrics, and analyzing results of activity, presenting findings with recommendations to senior marketing management. 
  • Oversee and manage all IS segment trade show and special event coordination, messaging, and staffing. 
  • Explore opportunities to leverage other trade show and event marketing activities (training sessions, panel discussions, etc.) within or outside of the AV/IT realm to increase the scope of our brand and product presence. 
  • Actively seek opportunities to further develop practical product and associated technical knowledge as it applies to the integrated systems segment. 
  • Identify opportunities to recommend or suggest market research to better inform partners and inspire marketing communications decisions that are fact based. Identify areas for improvement within the Americas channel marketing programs and executions. 
  • Manage budget for assigned market segment, and assigned projects. Seek approval for unplanned projects or overages. Deliver quarterly updates of plan vs. actual to manager. 
  • Primary contact for creating and issuing channel communications, pricing and digital asset delivery for Integrated Systems product launches/updates. 
  • Inspire confidence and creativity and foster open communication. 
  • Ensure the faithful execution of the Shure Brand Guidelines in all communication materials.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Marketing Communications, Channel Marketing, Public Relations preferred. 
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in professional AV/Integration markets preferred. 
  • Must possess strong cross-functional leadership and desire to work in a team environment to drive consensus across both internal groups and within channel partner organizations. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to clearly and effectively articulate Shure brand and product value propositions. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to facilitate constructive, open discussion. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast moving environment, prioritize effectively, think big picture, and use good judgment in resolving difficult issues. 
  • Experience with technical products desired, background in audio a benefit. 
  • Experience with AV consultants, integrators and distributors, particularly in the Integrated Systems segment preferred. 
  • Significant project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time. Experience managing external resources required. 
  • Demonstrated ability, interest and capacity to mentor and develop direct reports. 
  • Excellent proof reading skills with an eye for correct grammar and an ear for good copy. 
  • Strong visual sense with the ability to evaluate graphic layouts for both style and impact. 
  • Proficiency with computers and ability to efficiently work using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional. Experience in Photoshop or other design programs a benefit.
