Responsibilities:

CIBC is looking for communications specialist to support its growing U.S. business. The communication specialist will work with partners across the US and Canada to develop compelling communications using a variety of distribution channels. We want someone who can listen to the businesses priorities and work with other stakeholders to deliver differentiated communications support.

  • Work with various CIBC US business groups to provide communication support including planning, writing and proofreading for internal messages, press releases, white papers, presentations, etc. 
  • Help drive awareness, understanding and engagement of US employees leveraging strong communication planning and execution. 
  • Collaborate with communication colleagues across North America as needed to ensure effective message development and delivery. 
  • Support delivery of communications using all appropriate channels such as email, Workplace, intranet, social media, website, etc. 
  • Develop and maintain key relationships among team members and business partners.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of corporate communications, PR and/or marketing communications experience 
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or other relevant area of study required 
  • Willingness to jump in and help out on projects across the team as needed. 
  • Extremely strong writing, editing and proofing skills 
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, forward-thinking with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Aggressive self-starter, ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
