Communications Manager

Ecolab, the global leader in water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions and services, is seeking a communications manager to join its Global Communications team. This is an exciting opportunity for an external communications professional to join the team enhancing and protecting the reputation of a leading global sustainability company at the forefront of people and planet health.

The successful candidate will have a passion for business and sustainability storytelling, and will be excited by the opportunity to raise awareness of Ecolab’s positive impact across three million customer locations and more than 170 countries. Their in-house or agency public relations experience will help them identify and promote newsworthy stories that support Ecolab’s 2030 Impact Goals, global relationships, and ongoing business growth.

What You Will Do:

• Enhance and protect Ecolab’s reputation by working across the business to prepare spokespeople and promote newsworthy stories focused on the company’s positive environmental and social impact 
• Work closely with Ecolab’s Chief Sustainability Officer to deliver and promote the Corporate Sustainability Report, support the Water Resilience Coalition, and update ESG-focused stakeholders 
• Collaborate with internal, executive and digital communication peers on integrated communications efforts reaching multiple stakeholder audiences 
• Advise business leaders, partners and communications colleagues on best-in-class communications strategy, external messaging and media relations activities 
• Foster important local, trade, business and global press relationships 
• Support crisis communications and issue management where needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• 6+ years of external communications experience, with relevant experience in agency and/or in-house public relations roles 
• Proven project management experience leading successful PR and thought leadership campaigns 
• Knowledge of and experience with media measurement and insights 
• An established network of online, print, and broadcast journalists 
• Superior verbal and written communication skills, with knowledge of AP style 
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field
