If so, we’re looking for a strategic thinker like you to join our team as Communications Manager in our Minneapolis, MN office.

As the point person for our brand, the Communications Manager sets the tone and voice for the entire company, including our locations in the United States and Canada. The Communications Manager is responsible for helping our clients communicate effectively and ensuring that Toole Design’s values, capabilities, and culture are clearly conveyed in our internal and external communications. The Communications Manager reports to the Director of Strategy and works closely with senior leadership of the firm on a daily basis.

  • You’re no stranger to digital marketing tools, and know how to coordinate between CRM, CMS, and SMMS. 
  • You can go it alone but can also closely collaborate with your teammates across professional disciplines to create content that has an impact across our channels. 
  • You’re interested in planning, design and engineering as they relate to community-building, and you are ready to collaborate with our technical staff on strategic communications for projects.


  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration, English or a related field 
  • A demonstrated interest in multimodal and active transportation issues 
  • A minimum of five years professional experience
