Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club (MKSC), a nonprofit organization and unifying force in the community that calls Uihlein Soccer Park home, strives to enrich the lives of adults and youth in the Greater Milwaukee Area by providing soccer to everyone no matter their size, shape, gender, race, or socioeconomic status. The club serves 8,500+ youth members through recreational and select teams in 15 regions across southeastern Wisconsin each year, and is committed to ensuring everyone can continue to play soccer while instilling a lifelong passion for the game.

Community Relations/Special Events Intern

The Community Relations/Special Events Intern will work with the Marketing Staff, Community Outreach Staff, Coaching Staff, Membership Services and Uihlein Soccer Park Staff to assist during special events, community outreach initiatives and tournaments. In addition, he/she will have the opportunity to learn more about their degree focus and gain experience working with our staff in their area of interest (business, marketing, special events, coaching, community outreach).

Eight hours a week, however, special events will require more hours during certain weeks

Week of May 28th through week of July 29th

Work with and support event team for tournaments/events (some evening and weekend hours required)

Assist with community outreach programs and initiatives

Brainstorm ideas for existing and new initiatives

Work on a project(s) specific to degree focus

Applicants must be college/university students pursuing a degree in business, marketing, communications or sports management

Photography & Video experience preferred, but not required

Unpaid internship, 8 hours a week (will provide evaluations and/or documentation for class credit(s) if applicable - applicants to ask their college/university if that’s an option for them). This is an opportunity to get great experience while working with one of the country’s largest youth soccer organizations at Wisconsin's premier indoor/outdoor soccer complex.
