Responsibilities:

The Content Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the development, creation, and implementation of all customer facing marketing programs for the company. This includes the planning and execution of advertising, writing, editing and distribution of press releases, the cultivation of media relations to generate article opportunities and product reviews for publications, and the curation, editing and writing of content for our websites, emails and online marketing channels. This position will ensure marketing calendar and content strategies align and all campaigns and initiatives launch seamlessly on schedule. This position will also stay abreast of industry best practices for content strategy and integrate learnings into the overall marketing strategy.

Specific Responsibilities will include:

  1. Content Ideation and production assistance for regular and event-driven blog, e-news, texting, social media and video projects. 
  2. Design, create, curate and manage published content (images, video and written) and analyzes key metrics. 
  3. Assist in development and implementation of the company's PR strategy and plan; and report against agreed KPIs. 
  4. Draft and track e-news, surveys, and special announcements in MailChimp. 
  5. Support on copywriting for articles and press releases. 
  6. Assist in the outreach strategy of PR campaigns. 
  7. Perform administrative tasks that assist with media and content execution such as digital formatting and publication of blog posts and press releases on Klein Tools website and intranet. 
  8. Evaluate media opportunities and competitive activity in market, socializing the learnings to the broader marketing team and organization. 
  9. Concept with the creative/marketing team members to create print ads, banner ads, web content, emails, video and other marketing assets. 
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's Degree in in Marketing/Digital Marketing, PR & Communications, Journalism or related field and two (2) years professional experience writing copy for an organization, preferably an ad agency, public relations agency or marketing department.
  • Must possess knowledge of applicable business communication software.
  • Demonstrate strong communications skills, verbal and written. Demonstrate superior presentation skills; excellent content and copywriting skills; writing content which is optimized for SEO. Background, or familiarity with, writing in AP Style preferred. Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word). Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to be dynamic, motivated, and entrepreneurial minded with an internal drive to continuously hit goals and deadlines within fast-paced, high energy environments. Must be detail oriented, have timely and accurate executions.
  • Strong team focus and ability to work with others, both internal and external to the organization.
