The Office for Development and Alumni Relations at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is seeking to fill a full-time vacancy for a Corporate Alumni Engagement Officer.

The Corporate Alumni Engagement Officer will manage core programs that foster alumni engagement opportunities with area corporations and management of the all aspects of the Alumni Association’s sponsorship program.

Duties are as follows:

  • Manage the corporate Panthers@Work program. 
  • Nurture existing corporate alumni groups and expand the program according to strategic objectives set forth annually. This includes all aspects of volunteer management including recruitment, relationship building, goal-setting and organizational support for onsite events and programs. 
  • Manage and track portfolio of alumni leaders through regular action reports in the alumni database. 
  • Develop and implment all aspects of corporate sponsorship program including strategy, assessment of current/potential assets, renewals of current partners, and new business development. 
  • Create true partnerships with sponsors through exploratory/discovery meetings with prospective corporate contacts to understand company goals and determine areas of possible engagement (sponsorship, volunteerism, in-kind, etc.). 
  • Track results and create recap reports for all major sponsors. 
  • Meet revenue goals as set forth annually. 
  • Manage other program duties as assigned and coordinate additional external outreach and engagement activities as requested by the Association Vice Chancellor based on departmental needs. 
  • Represent UWM Alumni Associationat external community events as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least four years of experience in corporate development, sponsorship, sales or program management
  • Demonstrated track record of successful revenue generation/sponsorship experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Evidence of success working effectively with diverse constituencies and in a fast-paced team environment
  • Evidence of strong written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and strong ability to work independently and negotiate to achieve established goals
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects, meet deadlines, problem-solve, and multi-task
  • Evidence of excellent computer skills, specifically MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
