The Development Director of Annual Giving will lead annual giving and grant efforts, including but not limited to annual appeals and stewardship mailings, grant writing and reporting and individual donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship with Habitat for Humanity of Dane County’s (HFHDC) donor-centric model.

As a part of the development and fund raising team you will be working with a donor portfolio and focus adjusted as needed to reflect the current needs of the organization. This postion will develop and implement a multi-year, multi-channel annual giving program as part of the overall fundraising strategy. You will oversee the acknowledgment and recognition of annual gifts, including annual report and stewardship mailings. Manage an assigned portfolio of annual donors, corporate partners, and faith organizations. In addition, identifying and cultivating new organizational and individual donors. ­

Candidates should have a strong skill in coordinating annual giving communications, project management, grant writing, submission, reporting and experience in database managment.­ This role will represent HFHDC at various community meetings and events and fulfill speaking requests.

This individual must be passionate about the mission of HFHDC. Must have experience in fundraising through oral and written communications as well as interpersonal. Must possesses strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, be an excellent listener, and be metrics focused. Individual must work well independently and successfully work with various teams and volunteers. Record of accomplishments of donor cultivation, closing asks, and stewardship. Share the organizational values of working hard, valuing teamwork and being accountable, with professionalism and integrity.

3-5 years fundraising or related experience preferred. Must possess strong verbal, writing and computer skills in Outlook, Word, and Excel. Adobe InDesign and The Raiser’s Edge is a plus.

BA or BS required.

$40,000-$50,000, based on experience including generous benefits (Health, Dental, Vision, Retirement, PTO and Holiday Pay).
