The Digital Content Manager is responsible for continually improving the customer experience on Rishi’s ecommerce websites (B2C retail and B2B wholesale). The Digital Content Manager is expected to draw on core ecommerce performance metrics to inform strategic changes to the user experience. He/She is responsible to gather and evaluate site performance data from a variety of sources including Google Analytics, third party service providers, and in-house reporting. His/Her analysis of these data is to be presented to the Marketing Director regularly (see Deliverables) to affect decisions regarding new product promotion, site and social content publication, and overall online merchandising. The Digital Content Manager plays the leading role in planning, coordinating, and publishing creative content for Rishi’s websites and social media platforms. He/She is expected to take strategic insights from the site performance analyses described above, and use them to stimulate dialogue among Rishi content generators to ensure that creative direction aligns with compelling business opportunities. The Digital Content Manager is a member of the Brand Marketing team, which has a mandate to establish Rishi as the indisputable leader and vanguard of innovation in the global tea industry. By effectively coordinating and publishing creative content, the Digital Content Manager will support the growth of sales via Rishi’s B2C retail ecommerce site, as well as through Rishi’s B2B ecommerce site and other wholesale sales channels.

  • Continually improve the user experience (UX/UI) on Rishi’s ecommerce websites (retail and wholesale) 
  • Strategically plan Rishi’s web content publication schedule; own the schedule and coordinate publication of content on Rishi websites and social media platforms (home page images, travelogues, recipes, educational pages, other static content); coordinate with teammates and third party developers to continually refresh content 
  • Maintain strict brand standards with all digital content publication 
  • Analyze site performance using core ecommerce metrics; review weekly with Marketing Director 
  • Coordinate and review SEO work conducted by third parties; advise improvements 
  • Coordinate and review PPC campaigns conducted by third parties; advise improvements 
  • Collaborate with Marketing Director, Data Analyst, and third party support to replatform Rishi ecommerce websites concurrently with an ERP platform transition 
  • Maintain digital catalogs of B2C and B2B websites; build new products in back end and update content as needed
  • Four-year Bachelor’s degree 
  • Fluency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint 
  • Savvy internet user 
  • Web design or programming skills a plus 
  • Minimum 3 years experience in an ecommerce or digital content coordination role 
  • Passion for tea, fine food, or beverage 
  • High energy level; self-motivated; desire to learn 
  • Attention to detail; ability to multi-task 
  • Global perspective; cultural mindfulness; multi-lingual a plus 
  • Comfortable working both independently and as a member of a team
