Position Details

Digital Designer
Southeast Wisconsin
Milwaukee, WI

Disrupt Idea Co. is looking for a digital designer to be responsible for generating visual concepts in accordance with client briefs. We are a hybrid shop of traditional and digital creative and are looking for an individual who understands both. Working in partnership with the creative and account team, the digital designer will seek to influence changes in audience behavior through ideas, creativity and the use of media. They will work on digital creative projects from inception to completion.

Typical Activities:

  • Introduce and apply expert design to the visual elements of creative projects
  • Translate product positioning, existing research and traditional creative into effective digital designs
  • Uncover new ways to incorporate emerging and new media formats into campaigns
  • Produce the design and production for websites, apps, product graphics, social media graphics and banners, static and rich banner ads, email campaigns and email templates
  • Work with internal and external developers to ensure aesthetics also are aligned with usability, accessibility and web standards; work with developers to ensure proper implementation within a web environment and ensure consistency and integrity of the creative vision
  • Translate wireframes into simple, easy-to-use user interfaces
  • Apply and create marketing requirements into compelling, appropriate campaigns and designs
  • Ensure consistency of brand and creative across digital customer touch points
  • Coordinate with technical and operations teams to create, design and define code enhancements for improved productivity
  • Use customer experience to ensure all site enhancements comply with usability guidelines and user-centric best practices
  • Strong understanding of how traditional and digital design work together, especially with the web design and development process
  • Experience in web marketing and design with a strong knowledge of CSS, HTML, Visual Studio and other fun front-end design techniques and tools
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite products, especially Photoshop
  • Experience designing social media pages and advertising
  • Strong portfolio of design work, showing solutions to business problems through effective design
  • Demonstrated knowledge of typography, image manipulation, illustration and animation
  • Ability to confidently present concepts and lead internal teams
  • Work style: Strong work ethic and personal accountability; proactive and attentive to details; disciplined time management; excellent interpersonal skills and genuinely enjoys working with dynamic teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in digital design, graphic design or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of professional design experience, preferably at a digital agency or an in-house web team
