POSITION: Digital Marketing Coordinator

TEAM: Communications

REPORTS TO: Assistant Director, Digital Marketing and Analytics

SUMMARY:

The Digital Marketing Coordinator supports the communications teams’ work to promote Council events, research and analysis, original digital content, membership acquisition and retention, and fund raising efforts. S/he also provides daily administrative support for the communication team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review, copy edit, and publish web content submitted by staff throughout the Council; format and send email announcements and weekly and monthly email newsletters 
  • Create and maintain targeted email lists in Pardot; post event-related social media content; track and share email analytics with content stakeholders 
  • Assist in the creation of materials such as event postcards and brochures, invites, signs, advertisements, infographics, etc. 
  • Serve as point of contact between internal staff and external vendors such as photographers, mail houses, list providers, printers, etc. 
  • Support and execute varying projects and tasks, including creating PowerPoint presentations with complex graphs, Excel spreadsheets, and other documents 
  • Assist in the processing of communications-related bills and updating budget spreadsheets 
  • Occasionally assist at Council events managing media, live streaming or live tweeting, supporting registration, ushering, etc. requiring some evening and early morning hours 
  • Occasionally assist at the front desk to relieve the Reception and Database Services Assistant in meeting/greeting Council constituents and handling incoming calls 
  • Perform other projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ years’ experience in marketing-related tactics and a bachelor's degree preferably in journalism, marketing, public relations, or communications 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; previous editing experience and knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style preferred 
  • Familiarity working with Web Content Management Systems, Salesforce CRM, and email marketing systems, preferably Pardot 
  • Working knowledge of graphic design tools; Adobe Creative software a plus 
  • Experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) 
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills 
  • A problem solver who shows initiative, works independently and as part of a team, meets deadlines, and pays close attention to details; is flexible and adapts easily to new situations
