Erie Family Health Centers is looking for a strategic, analytical and approachable leader like you to join our Leadership Team! The Director of Marketing and Communications will work under the general direction of the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, and partner closely with the operations, development, and executive leadership teams. As a member of Erie’s leadership team, this role offers a tremendous opportunity to expand the reach of our nationally recognized, high quality primary care model and positively impact thousands of families across the Chicagoland area in the coming years. The successful candidate will share our organizational belief that healthcare is a human right and will value the dignity of all people.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead in the development, implementation and evaluation of the marketing and communications strategy for Erie Family Health Centers to support our strategic goals, including patient retention and acquisition, employee engagement and recruitment, fundraising, and overall brand and reputation enhancement 
  • Lead a team to drive the use of effective storytelling, leveraging multiple tools and platforms to create engagement and entice healthcare system usage among a targeted consumer base in our Chicago area communities 
  • Responsible for internal communications and working with leaders to develop strong, timely, consistent messaging 
  • Oversee Erie’s digital assets including website, patient portal, intranet, and social media sites and assure that content is continually refreshed and kept current 
  • Develop metrics and scorecards to assess return on investment of marketing and communications efforts. Report outcomes to executive leadership on a regular basis and work from metrics to continually improve results 
  • Support development team’s campaigns, events, and initiatives to assist our donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts; support creation of annual report

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree strongly preferred 
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in marketing, brand management, communications, and market research, preferably in the healthcare industry, including at least three (3) years in a leadership role (people and financial) 
  • Prior experience in healthcare strongly preferred 
  • In-depth understanding of marketing and communications tools and tactics, with proven experience developing and implementing strategic marketing and communications plans with associated metrics 
  • Knowledgeable of the communities Erie serves—geographically and culturally – and deeply committed to the Erie mission 
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish preferred, but not required
