FCL Builders has an opportunity for a seasoned, hands-on, Marketing and Public Relations Director at our corporate office in Itasca, IL.

This individual will be responsible for creating, developing, and maintaining an earned media program including writing/production of press releases to industry publications and, when applicable, to mainstream media sources in select regions.

General Duties:

  • Continue and improve FCL’s social media and electronic marketing program including but not limited to singular/one issue and issues series posts on LinkedIn, Constant Contact, etc. 
  • Manage all coordination between FCL and its outside design firm for development and production of marketing materials, website revisions, production of a corporate video(s), bi-annual company newsletter, paid media/placed ads and supporting materials. 
  • Continue and expand FCL’s self-generated marketing events in the Midwest, Southwest, Southeast and Mid-Atlantic. 
  • Improve and consistently manage customer and prospect contacts lists. 
  • Manage the design and ordering of FCL apparel and other brand identity items. 
  • Manage the schedule of national industry events FCL representatives attend and provide support services for each. 
  • Coordinate photography of completed projects in all regions. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Must be a creative self-starter who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously and must possess and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Four-year degree in marketing, community relations, public relations required. 
  • Writing samples required prior to the initial interview. 
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience required. 
  • Commercial real estate, industrial real estate and/or construction industry knowledge preferred. 
  • Experience with design software 
  • Some limited travel is required.
