As a senior leader of the organization, you will build, maintain and motivate a team of territory sales managers. You will also work closely with our dealer network on the municipal side of the business to establish business development strategies and distribution channels. Concurrently, you will manage the airport products bid process and oversee and establish relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, human resources and accounting on matters of mutual interest. Through an established LRP process, participate in the development of company sales and growth plans.
- Conduct "voice of customer" [VOC] market research and recommend product design improvements, positioning and pricing strategies to produce the highest possible long-term market share while achieving satisfactory gross and operating margins.
- Make field trips and maintain contacts with territory sales representatives and customers to assist with developing and maintaining relationships, negotiating, and closing deals.
- Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals and budgets accordingly.
- Evaluate performance and take necessary steps to bring results in line with objectives.
- Prepare reports showing potential sales, sales performance against established targets and areas of proposed client base expansion.
- Oversee maintenance of procurement contracts including NJPA, DLA and GSA.
- Plan and oversee advertising and promotion activities.
- Direct communications and marketing efforts via product literature, website maintenance, direct mail and trade show attendance.
