As part of our Corporate & Government Affairs (CGA) team, you’ll shape and tell our company story and act as an advocate for growing our business responsibly. You will help build the Mondelēz International corporate brand and reputation, both globally and locally.

We're on a mission to lead the future of Snacking and our partners in the media are one of our most important stakeholders along that journey. Our Media Relations Manager has strong media contacts with US and international media, a great story-telling instinct and a fearless story pitching approach. They run our day to day press office, handling messaging, inquiries, metrics and more. This role manages high profile communications campaigns, executing the media relations strategy as part of integrated communications approaches, and liaises with stakeholders throughout the business.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Be the face of our purpose-led communications to key media audiences 
  • Drive proactive media pitching across tier-one media in the US and other key geographies 
  • Scout stories across the business relevant to our strategic priorities and communications plans 
  • Develop narratives, messaging and Q&A materials for leaders and teams 
  • Work on sensitive issues and special situations, handling crisis communications with aplomb 
  • Liaise with key business leaders, seeking approvals and prepping them for media interactions 
  • Create pitch lists and media summaries 
  • Develop next generation of media metrics for global media relations team
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Media Relations, or related discipline 
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Corporate Communications, Brand Communications or Public Relations Agency Experience 
  • Strong ability to build collaborative relationships and networks with internal stakeholders 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and related communications in an effective way 
  • Strong communication, influencing and external presence skills 
  • Strong writing skills and ability to produce high-quality, public-facing written materials under quick deadlines 
  • Familiarity with earned media and influencer networks, resources and vendors
