Job Description:

Madison College is looking to fill a vacancy in their Center for International Education. The International Marketing, Recruitment, and Communications Coordinator supports the growth, success, and retention of international students at Madison College. The position is charged with the recruitment of new international students and the conversion of new applicants into enrollments, based on strategic goals of the college and Center for International Education. Note: Although occasional work-related international travel is expected in this position, all travel is currently suspended due to COVID-19 conditions.

This is an exempt, 52 weeks per year position. General working hours are Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in the development and implementation of the annual international student recruitment plan under the guidance of the Center for International Education Director. The plan supports college marketing and enrollment management goals and includes travel-based and armchair strategies, such as fairs, events, information sessions, outreach to partners, agent contract facilitation, social media, virtual fairs, virtual student profiles, online ads, and digital media. 
  • Cultivates relationships with agents, monitors agent activities, generates agent contracts, and provides agents with necessary training, information, and knowledge to successfully recruit students on the College's behalf. 
  • Coordinates prospective student scholarship processes with agent partners and college units. 
  • Assists with marketing and communications coordination and support for CIE Services including study abroad, virtual exchange, recruitment, agent partners, programming promotion, and to prospective, new, and current international students including outreach to alumni.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Marketing/Communications, International Studies, Counseling, Student Affairs, or related field OR four (4) years (8,000 hours) of directly related work experience in recruitment, marketing/communications, student services, or related field with demonstrated experience with intercultural competencies.

 * Experience used as an equivalent of an educational requirement is in addition to any experience required by the position. 

  • Two (2) years (4,000 hours) cumulative experience with recruitment, marketing/communications, or related fields, preferably working to recruit international students to U.S. higher education institution(s). 
  • Preferred bilingual language competency sufficient to conduct meetings with prospective students, parents, and stakeholders. 
  • Eligibility to serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) in SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System). Per federal regulation, a SEVIS DSO must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
