The Marketing Communications Coordinator role supports our niche marketing and public relations efforts and provides first line support for project completion. He/She works directly with other members of the marketing and communications team to ensure all projects adhere to departmental standards and support Assurance’s brand integrity, message consistency and communication efficiency.

NICHE PROSPECTING & ENGAGEMENT:

  • Researches, writes and posts blog articles for 11 different industries 
  • Completes bylined articles for distribution to industry publications and media outlets 
  • Maintains online press room and media clippings 
  • Manages public relations and advertisement requests 
  • Curates content for printed and electronic collateral pieces including, but not limited to, flyers, white papers and case studies 
  • Creates social messages for external campaigns, collateral and various thought leadership 
  • Updates digital libraries that hold collateral materials and external communications 
  • Strategizes and works with team to execute niche-based marketing initiatives that drive engagement, increase exposure and take prospective clients through the sales cycle 
  • Drafts Request For Proposal documents (RFPs) and presentations, as well as maintains a database of sample answers and templates 
  • Organizes and ships trade shows materials

BRANDING:

  • Develops content that upholds the Assurance brand across a variety of channels, including the website and social media platforms 
  • Ensures brand integrity in collateral design and advertisements 
  • Uses the Assurance brand standards combined with effective digital marketing techniques for email campaigns

MARKETING TECHNOLOGY & DATA MANAGEMENT:

  • Works alongside other members of the marketing and communications team to execute campaigns, generate reports and communicate marketing intelligence and trends 
  • Works within Assurance’s CMS website system 
  • Conducts keyword research and adheres to SEO best practices to create search engine friendly web pages and blog posts 
  • Works within social media applications to amplify the Assurance brand and messaging

PROJECT MANAGEMENT:

  • Maintains inventory of promotional items and orders products as necessary 
  • Works with marketing specialists, graphic designers and other members of the marketing team, as needed 
  • Sees projects through the approval process 
  • Adheres to project deadlines

REQUIRED:

  • BS/BA in marketing, public relations, communications, business or a related field

PREFERRED:

  • Marketing, communications and/or public relations internship experience 
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Excellent written, oral communications and project management skills 
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment 
  • Knowledge of AP style guidelines 
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms including LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter 
  • Experience using CMS systems, such as Orchard, Kentico or WordPress 
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and effectively manage time
