As a Marketing Communications Manager for the Lodging and Long Term Care Segments within the Ecolab Institutional Business, you will help advance this forward-thinking, customer-driven business by creating and leading marketing communications strategies, planning and execution to strengthen the Ecolab brand and support and drive segment growth.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with segment, portfolio and global marketing teams, RD&E, corporate account and field sales teams, training, other communication teams across the Enterprise and agency partners to develop marketing communication strategies and successfully execute plans. You will be encouraged to bring new and different ideas to the team and be offered flexibility in execution. The ideal candidate will be an agile, self-starter with a growth mindset and propensity for results who has a passion for brand, customer experience (internal and external) and commercialization. We are looking for a strong, highly strategic, creative and collaborative project manager that has a demonstrated ability to achieve business results in a matrixed organization. Elevating our digital-first foundation will also be prioritized.

What You Will Do:

Create and lead marketing communications strategy, planning and execution to support Lodging and Long Term Care segments and drive business growth.

  • Develop and manage all aspects of annual marketing communication plans that align to business strategies and initiatives 
  • Drive profitable business growth through creative, bold, business-driven innovation launches and commercialization plans 
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams and manage multiple vendor partners, including agencies and contractors, to produce effective marketing communications materials and execute on plans 
  • Generate awareness, interest, engagement and qualified leads through creative, targeted, integrated brand and gain/grow campaigns 
  • Strengthen relationships across brand and industry partners by leading marketing communication strategy and tactics, including managing media strategy, schedules and placements 
  • Lead development of sales enablement tools and communication to support the Field and corporate account sales teams 
  • Manage development and brand standards across deliverables and channels, including advertising, social, editorials, thought leadership content, websites, videos, sales collateral, tradeshow assets, webinars, and more 
  • Proactively and continuously assess communications strategies against business objectives, serve as strategic counsel on marketing communication strategies and adjust as necessary 
  • Partner with marketing and finance to manage annual budgets 
  • Manage cross-functional approvals and negotiate changes to create compelling material that complies with brand, legal, safety and other requirements

Build brand through customer experience strategy and value messaging to enhance industry leadership position and drive customer consideration.

  • Lead development of go-to-market messaging and creative that clearly demonstrates Ecolab’s value in the channels where our customers reside 
  • Strengthen customer experience and value messaging on website and at industry events 
  • Create and promote compelling, engaging thought leadership content that differentiates Ecolab’s value

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, marketing communications or equivalent 
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing communications activities 
  • Experience developing and managing effective strategic marketing communication plans, including digital strategy and new communication tactics and channels 
  • Strong brand and budget management skills 
  • Proven ability to simultaneously manage all facets of multiple projects, including strategy and implementation, scope definition, timeline, budget, quality, vendor partners, approvals, etc. 
  • Ability to articulate vision and bring plans to life through story and creative design 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail and use of sound judgment in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite 
  • Ability to effectively manage scope of work and navigate in a matrixed organization 
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiations skills; ability to anticipate issues and see the big picture beyond tactics
