Henricksen has an opening in our Minneapolis office for a talented Communications Manager to join the Marketing team. The Communications Manager will work closely with the National Marketing Director and the Minneapolis General Manager to create and execute effective marketing and communication strategies for the Minnesota market. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop communications strategies and plans to support Henricksen’s growth initiatives. 
  • Write copy and edit sales and marketing materials, emails, newsletters, press releases, company documents, etc. 
  • Coordinate external communications including press releases, event collateral, email blasts, and social media posts with Henricksen national marketing team. 
  • Possess graphic design sensibilities to support the development of marketing collateral that promotes consistency with Henricksen’s national brand standards as well as contributes to the development and refinement of Henricksen’s standards. 
  • Assist in the maintenance of content on the Henricksen website, social media,and intranet including the coordination with national offices to update the content on a regular basis. 
  • Oversee industry award submissions with clients and industry partners, which may include researching viable awards, completing and submitting applications, and maintaining a tracking list of all award submissions. 
  • Coordinate photography with clients and industry partners. 
  • Maintain the regional events calendar. 
  • Coordinate marketing initiatives with national marketing/bids team. 
  • Support the national bids team with developing specialized content for key bids and presentations. 
  • Research viable speaking engagement opportunities and secure Henricksen leaders on industry panels. 
  • Collaborate with local leadership, national marketing/bids staff, and business development staff to ensure communication efforts help support the office revenue and marketing goals. 
  • Foster relationships with the marketing teams of our industry partners. 
  • Ensure projects are completed promptly and within the marketing department’s budget. 
  • Prepare marketing reports for the Minnesota region.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years related experience in marketing communications, content development, PR or advertising within the A/E/C industry. 
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, English or related field desired. 
  • Proficient in MS Office365 applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. 
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud software including InDesign and Photoshop. 
  • Proficient in WordPress for website maintenance and email marketing platforms like MailChimp. 
  • Conscientious and flexible, with a strong work ethic and team-player attitude. 
  • Exemplary writing and graphic layout skills. 
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal skills as well as organizational, problem-solving and attention to details skills. 
  • Excellent time management skills, passion for details, and the ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy. 
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically.
