Position Details

Marketing Communications Specialist
Twin Cities Metro
Eden Prairie, MN

This position is a key contributor on the Product Management team and will be responsible for lead generation to prepare actionable sales funnel. This individual will assist in the planning, creation and distribution of content to engage and nurture customers and prospects. The ideal candidate has excellent project management skills, a creative mindset informed by customer and market data, and a strong understanding of traditional and digital marketing tactics.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Demand Generation

  • Responsible for Marketing funnel – reach, interact, transition to sales and engage with prospects in the marketing funnel to generate marketing qualified leads that sales team can move forward with 
  • Execution of integrated Marketing & Communications plans with focus on lead generation that enable customer engagement via various marketing channels including, but not limited to, Digital Marketing, Conferences and Events, Roadshows, Tradeshows, Webinars, etc.

Content & Thought Leadership

  • Work with the product management and engineering team to create content to engage customers and prospects 
  • Develop and deliver content in various forms of marketing collateral (press releases, brochures, case studies, white papers, newsletters, emails, videos, booth design etc.) to enable sales efforts

Branding & Communication

  • Infuse brand essence in all marketing collateral 
  • Ensure brand adherence in all internal and external communication 
  • Proof all documents, including government reports, training manuals, user’s manual, etc. to be delivered outside of the company

Digital Marketing

  • Responsible for website content 
  • Improve page rankings through owned and earned media 
  • Improve customer engagement through social media, online platforms and email communication 
  • Host webinars with subject matter experts and partners to further develop the business pipeline 
  • Proficient in working with CRM (preferably Salesforce), email marketing tools (preferably MailChimp) and marketing automation tools and techniques 
  • Identify new tools to improve marketing productivity and effectiveness

Project Management

  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects, programs and campaigns 
  • Manage external resources and vendors 
  • Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of programs and tactics delivered to customers 
  • Prepare artwork files for syndication, re-ordering marketing and print materials, assist in managing Salesforce database, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field 
  • 3-5 years combined experience in Communications and/or Marketing. New grads with relevant experience during co-ops and internships are encouraged to apply 
  • Keen interest in marketing experience in high tech industry 
  • Ability to design and execute lead generation campaigns 
  • Demonstrated writing and copywriting skills for both web and print 
  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (with preference to InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) 
  • Basic familiarity with WordPress 
  • Strong collaboration, problem-solving and team management skills 
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills for working with internal stakeholders, business partners, vendors and cross-functional teams 
  • Strong project and time management skills for juggling many changing priorities and working under tight deadlines 
  • Demonstrated personal computer skills in the use of a suite of software tools (such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and project management tools 
  • Travel – up to 10% 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in in B2B communications preferably in engineering and/or manufacturing 
  • Ability to make strong business cases that lead to management support for programs
