The Marketing Coordinator works to promote Alliant in the marketplace by aiding in the preparation of proposals, communications, graphics, presentations, etc. that outline our services, demonstrate our commitment to excellence, and highlight the collaboration between our internal and external teams. He/she will be the point of contact for internal customers at all levels of the organization and must demonstrate curiosity, poise, tactfulness, and diplomacy.

Direction Received:

  • Reports to Marketing Manager. 
  • Receives direction from engineers, project managers, Senior Management Team, and/or other office staff.

Direction of Others:

Not responsible for directly supervising others but will be responsible for independently working with various groups to plan, organize, and execute marketing and business development activities.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Manages data with integrity across various platforms, including Alliant’s client relationship management (CRM) tool. 
  • Coordinates proposal response activities, creates business development materials, and develops marketing content with progressive independence. 
  • Uses graphic design principles to create the look of proposals, digital posts, our website, videos, etc. while balancing design with the need to successfully communicate technical messages. 
  • Supports the brainstorming, planning, and execution of internal and external marketing activities including email campaigns, thought leadership pieces, our internal newsletter, teambuilding exercises, career fairs, and professional conferences.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree with one to three years of marketing experience. 
  • Experience working for professional services firm is not required, but is preferred 
  • Active participation in the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) or the American Marketing Association (AMA) is desirable.

Proficiencies:

  • Demonstrated ability to learn new skills, adapt to new processes, and simultaneously, articulate the value of looking at systems in new ways. 
  • A commitment to investing in the development of working relationships with all members of Alliant’s team. 
  • A “How can I help you?” attitude and the desire to assist technical team members integrate new projects into existing workloads, sometimes under tight deadlines. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to engaging in quality control processes. 
  • Ability to organize large amounts of data and work on many complex projects at one time. 
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). 
  • An aptitude for using analytics to improve the reach of digital communications. 
  • Experience with filming and editing video, strongly preferred. 
  • Experience working in WordPress, strongly preferred. 
  • A basic understanding of architecture/engineering/construction (A/E/C) processes and terminology is desired, but not required.

  • Works in office environment; sustains posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time.
