Come and be a part of our transformation! The Chicago Architecture Center (CAC) is the Chicago Architecture Foundation’s new home and a hubfor everything architecture in Chicago. The CAC will be a gateway for our docent-led tours, exciting programs and imaginative, new interactive exhibitsincluding the expanded, popular Chicago Model.The Marketing Coordinator will play a crucial role in the success of the CAC'smarketing plan, providing support for advertising, research/evaluation, audience development and overall marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Advertising

  • Assist team in determining overall strategy for institutional ad spend. 
  • Work directly with media sales representatives to finalize paid advertising agreements. 
  • Manage advertising tracker form, ad collateral, and workflow. 
  • Coordinate advertising tracker with Gantt chart and marketing budget. 
  • Lead weekly advertising meeting with Marketing VP and Sr. Manager. 
  • Provide support in developing, executing and managing advertising budget. 
  • Work with Finance to ensure advertising-related invoices are paid, and all in-kind donations are documented.

Data Gathering/Analytics

  • Update KPI tracking report on all social/digital platforms using Google analytics; share findings with team monthly. 
  • Work with New Media Coordinator/Sr. Manager of Web and E-commerce to provide analysis on digital marketing efforts.

Audience Research

  • Oversee efforts with members of research team to develop a year-long marketing research plan. 
  • Design and administer new surveys where necessary. 
  • Analyze audience data and research to produce insights that will guide marketing and sales efforts. 
  • Collect data and write reports for programs such as Open House Chicago and Engineering Fest, as well as contribute to the CAC annual report.

Partnerships and Cross-Promotions Support

  • In conjunction with Marketing VP and Sr. Manager of Marketing and Digital Strategies, work with partners like Choose Chicago, MagMile Association, and Loop Alliance to promote CAC. 
  • Provide support to tourism team on creation and fulfillment of hotel/tourism related partnerships. 
  • Manage special offers on TripAdvisor, Yelp, and other third-party sales sites.

Marketing Team Support

  • Serve as the key marketing point-person for Education department. 
  • Support audience development programs, events, and initiatives as they arise. 
  • Support with Development department marketing; create meeting recaps. 
  • Keep an up-to-date list of all third-party sites that host our content and when they require updates in partnership with Operations and PR staff. 
  • Other, as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in related field plus 2-4 years’ professional experience 
  • Experience with Tessitura preferred 
  • Experience with Qualtrics and SurveyMonkey 
  • Experience with Word Fly or other direct mail provider 
  • Experience with Asana or other project management software
