Position Summary:

The Marketing Coordinator supports the marketing team in executing superior customer experiences that create impact and align with our brand and customer philosophy.

There are two main functions of this role:

  • Coordinate logistics of Daikin Applied's Innovation Roadshow; a trade show on wheels that travels across the US at hosting Rep offices. Key responsibilities include acting as liaison between 3rd party vendors, Rep offices, and Daikin Applied support staff, scheduling set up/tear down, assisting with registration site, and keeping everyone up to date with changes.
  • Support virtual and in-person customer visits to Daikin's Minnesota plants and assist where necessary at factories in Staunton VA, Jersey City NJ, Phoenix AZ, and San Luis Potosí, Mexico.

This role will also support the marketing team in company meetings and events, customer experiences, and other communication initiatives. This role requires occasional travel to Faribault and Owatonna, MN factories.

This position reports to the Director of Corporate Events. Key responsibilities of the role include:

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Plan 30 city Roadshow tour and 50 customer visits annually; while customer and Roadshow visits share many similar agendas, each event is customized to the customer and Rep needs, requiring several hours of planning to execute each visit with excellence 
  • Serve as primary point of contact with Rep firms on the Roadshow and factory visits to Minnesota plants 
  • Collaborate with key members across the organization on all aspects of customer visits 
  • Track, analyze and report volume, frequency and trends of customer visits 
  • Ad-hoc projects as needed, supporting larger marketing communications team with planning and coordination

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' marketing and/or event planning experience 
  • High degree of professionalism with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 
  • Desire to support and be an integral part of a team known for its high standards and reputation for creating extraordinary content 
  • Must be motivated and able to work with minimal supervision 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management and outside Rep firms 
  • Strong computer skills: including Microsoft office suite, Outlook, Teams, Smartsheet, or other project management software 
  • Demonstrated example of taking initiative with a solid work ethic 
  • Outstanding relationship management, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
