This intern position is an integral part of the department and will act as ground support in the development and execution of client- and agency-related public relations and social media plans. The position is full-time starting in November.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Take all steps necessary for effective and timely fulfillment of client and agency projects
  • Provide monitoring of Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube and LinkedIn
  • Coordinate media relations efforts including: identifying appropriate media contacts, building contact lists and tracking efforts
  • Monitor social media conversations and trends
  • Demonstrate project results through clip reports and analysis
  • Collaborate in the development of clear and compelling target-focused communications, including press releases, Facebook posts and blogs
  • Aid in secondary research for planning/development
  • Add value to public relations planning and projects by contributing creative ideas and observations
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and insatiable curiosity
  • Collaborate effectively as a team member with the PR and Social Media department and other agency associates

Recent grads or college students pursuing a degree in communications, journalism, public relations or a related field.

This is a paid internship at $12 per hour.
