The Product Manager is responsible for all end-to-end tasks in bringing products to market with a focus on the home improvement sector. These tasks include working with the sourcing team from ideation to delivery, daily communication with factories, management of product information for the customer, complete market analysis and product expertise, defining, creating and reviewing product specifications and alongside product engineer, developing and adhering to price targets, price negotiation and calculation, margin analysis, developing packaging and merchandising to protect products and drive sales, work alongside account manager to ensure timely ordering and billing, tracking projects to ensure on-time deliveries to the customer, and defining white space opportunity within the market.

Responsibilities also include internal team members training and product support training.

Job Responsibilities

  • The position is the cornerstone in developing and delivering new product programs within specified quality and price targets for product lines
  • Directly responsible for the creation of the project path and flawless execution through delivery
  • Manage multiple product categories at one time
  • Ability to perform and/or direct the following tasks: Competitive analysis, product ideation, project management, pricing recommendations, sample review
  • Serve the various product needs as identified by either Wild-Global or our retail partner and supporting the relationship
  • Attend key account meetings as needed
  • Lead the team as it relates to our ability to deliver quality products through improved procedures, relationships and communication
  • Holding weekly cross-functional meeting with team members
  • Work alongside product engineers to ensure all products meet regulatory and quality standards
  • Must complete projects within specified timelines, ability to create Timing and Action calendars to stay organized and on time

Qualifications

  • A college degree Consumer product background with market awareness of styles and trends
  • Minimum 5-7 years relevant product management experience
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Excel spreadsheets
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Familiarity with small-scale home improvement a plus but not required
