The Regional Development Officer – Annual Giving is responsible for developing and coordinating the foundation’s annual giving efforts, including: grateful patient programs, direct mail campaigns, employee giving programs, and physician engagement strategies. The role works with internal and external partners to identify and share impact stories, acquire new donors, provide stewardship to existing donors and build a funnel of major gift prospects.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Work to increase participation in annual giving by building and implementing comprehensive, data driven strategies to move donors to higher giving levels. 
  • Craft positive impact stories and coordinate the development of effective stewardship and solicitation marketing pieces and case statements to ensure thoughtful and consistent communication with the foundation’s donors. 
  • Serve as the assigned solicitor to a prospect portfolio with annual goals for personal visits and giving outcomes to move those donors through the donor cycle. 
  • Serve as the staff lead for the employee giving program, resulting in increased awareness, participation and engagement from employees throughout ThedaCare. 
  • Oversee the Foundation’s grateful patient program to ensure patients are informed about the foundation and new, appropriate prospects are invited to give.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education – Bachelors Degree 
  • Experience – 3+ years in fundraising or relationship-based position

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance
  • Job classification is not exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Climate controlled office setting with daily movement throughout the hospital campus 
  • Interaction with department members and other healthcare providers
