What you’ll learn & achieve:

UL seeks a dynamic website senior specialist to deliver a compelling web experience to visitors of UL’s Advisory web properties. We endeavor to effectively convey value and increase conversions on our web properties. This position requires deep web expertise and business acumen to drive short and long-term projects and processes in support of UL’s Advisory site web strategy.

The ideal candidate must have demonstrated success in leading web programs and projects to completion on time and on budget. This function will also support the development of processes and workflows that enable efficient functioning across the teams supporting our web properties. Communication is key to success in this role, and candidates must effectively communicate across various levels of executive leadership and marketing and sales communities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee Advisory web property programs and projects to drive the web strategy and roadmap. 
  • With the support of the Web Product Manager, translate customer and stakeholder requirements, business and brand strategic priorities and channel goals to develop a clear and actionable Advisory web product strategy. 
  • Using standard monitoring tools such as Google Analytics, evaluate visitor and user behaviors and competitive insights to inform Advisory web strategy. 
  • Research customer/user needs and customer intent/journeys to inform emerging and ongoing requirements and needs. 
  • Define, track and communicate program goals, outcomes and corresponding metrics in alignment to the web roadmap and strategy. 
  • Support web program investment and vendor budget management. 
  • Contribute to defining a robust set of processes to power all parts of the web development, publishing and support lifecycle. 
  • Expertly support full project lifecycle activities (Planning, requirements, scope, schedule, resources, budget, risks, testing, quality, deployment, measurement, change management) for web channel properties. 
  • Pro-actively build and maintain strong relationships with business and corporate marketing partners. 
  • Define, estimate and coordinate tasks and schedules for maintenance and enhancement of existing marketing websites. 
  • Drive execution of project schedules, and manage internal and external reviews and approvals. 
  • Manage internal and external resources contributing to web property development and maintenance. 
  • Communicate project status at an appropriate level of detail for the intended audience – project team, management team and executive stakeholders. 
  • Update website content as necessary.

What makes you a great fit:

  • Generally 10 years or more of related experience or demonstrated competency. 
  • Background in business to business marketing websites. 
  • Experience with demand generation systems such as Marketo and Pardot. 
  • Working knowledge of content management systems used as web site platforms. 
  • Background in content management of multilingual websites is preferred. 
  • Experience using data analytics to inform strategic decisions. 
  • Strong understanding of web technology. 
  • Familiarity with web-based applications, software implementation and configuration. 
  • Experience with developing text and image content for websites. 
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently 
  • Fluent English is essential and additional languages beneficial (e.g. German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese) 
  • The ideal candidate will be educated to university degree level or equivalent. 
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred.
