Primary Responsibilities:

As the Sr. Communications Manager, you will work with the head of HR and the senior team of the company to develop and implement KeHE’s internal corporate communication strategy. You will impact the engagement of all employees by developing creative content and effective delivery mechanisms that reach all 5,500 employees. Working with senior leaders across the company, you will be responsible for all communication programs and projects that shape, influence, and positively impact KeHE’s unique company culture.

Essential Functions:

  • Design, develop and maintain a communications strategy for the organization 
  • Build strong relationships with leadership across the organization to ensure messaging is consistent and aligned to business priorities 
  • Work with the company CEO to develop and implement bi-annual town hall updates 
  • Drive message content to ensure geographically dispersed employee population is accounted for in communication strategies 
  • Develop and maintain a professional and consistent corporate image for all internal communications 
  • Respond rapidly to changes in business priorities and messaging, preparing leaders and employees to embrace change 
  • Oversee content and graphic updates for intranet site 
  • Provide writing and editorial support for all outbound communication including all organizational announcement, promotional materials, website content, and monthly newsletters 
  • Work in concert with Marketing to optimize communications streams and create efficiencies for stakeholders 
  • Develop communications and action planning strategies around employee engagement 
  • Determine appropriate communications channels and establish best practices based on latest technologies 
  • Must maintain good attendance and safe work practices 
  • Maintain safeguards of confidential company information 
  • Other duties and special projects as requested

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude:

  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience coordinating communications for a corporation or similar institution required. 
  • Experience preparing creative content including web and video design highly preferred 
  • Experience creating and deploying content for a geographically dispersed population 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or related field 
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, building collaborative relationships of trust. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to consult with other areas of the business providing recommendations on subject matter expertise
