Over the last few years, we’ve seen our social media department grow significantly and our desire is to keep up that pace well into the future. Recently, we’ve invested significant resources to improve our social media capabilities. The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for working with this team to strategize and execute social media campaigns that stay on track, on time and on budget. The ideal candidate will therefore be someone who has prior agency experience developing social media strategy and executing paid social media campaigns.

  • Work under the direction of the Social Media Manager to execute project deliverables, tasks, and requirements.
  • Collaborate with CMR’s research and strategy team to assist in social media strategy, including influencer marketing and cross-channel integration. 
  • Set up paid social media campaigns on behalf of clients. 
  • Develop/write content for paid and organic social media campaigns. 
  • Manage client social media communities – responding to comments, incoming messages and interacting with top followers directly.
  • Engage in social listening and monitoring to understand emerging issues/trends among audiences. 
  • Use audience data and campaign analytics to optimize social media campaigns and investments. 
  • Collaborate with CMR’s business development team to develop and implement social media marketing campaigns with the aim of cultivating new client leads.
  • Degree in marketing, communications or related field 
  • 2-3 years of social media experience 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the leading social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) 
  • Demonstrated experience placing and managing paid social media campaigns (i.e. Facebook Business Manager, Snapchat Ads Manager, etc.) 
  • Ability to work well within the fast-paced environment of a growing agency
