Our Creative Services team is looking for a talented and passionate Web Developer to build, maintain and enhance e-commerce and marketing websites in Magento and WordPress. This person will collaborate with designers, digital marketers, engineers, and others to understand project goals, create a development plan and help bring the team’s vision to life. We’re looking for someone with the experience and confidence to become the technical lead for our Marketing department and bridge the gap between Creative and Engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate user and business needs into project requirements and deliver solutions that solve problems effectively and efficiently. 
  • Apply your front-end development skills to create clean, intuitive, and highly accessible e-commerce templates and user interfaces. 
  • Flex your WordPress skills to build and maintain effective marketing websites for our various lines of business. 
  • Regularly install WordPress core, theme and plugin updates to ensure our sites are up-to-date and secure. 
  • Work with our interactive designers to develop engaging product selection guides that make the shopping experience easier. 
  • Support web designers as they encounter technical problems beyond their expertise.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technology-based discipline 
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role 
  • Excellent front-end development skills including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript 
  • Experience working with PHP and MySQL 
  • Proven experience building responsive websites through portfolio samples 
  • High attention to detail and thorough testing and debugging process 
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines and exceed expectations

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with Magento a huge plus 
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and site optimization for both speed and search 
  • Ability to create custom plugins and themes for WordPress 
  • Understanding of Agile Methodology and experience working in sprint cycles 
  • Experience working in a marketing/agency environment
