PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

Under the guidance of the VP/Director of Marketing, the Digital Marketing & Communications Specialist is responsible for the tactical execution of Visa Lighting’s website, social media, e-mail marketing, sales portal, and communications.

MAJOR DUTIES:

Digital Marketing

  • Manage and implement all website content changes in our CMS, Drupal 9.0, implementing new functionality, and continuously improving the website’s user experience 
  • Partner with external website developers when necessary to assess and resolve any technical challenges 
  • Working with creative services, product management, and/or external agencies, develop and curate content that engages target customers and builds more authority as a brand 
  • Execute all SEO activities: utilize Google Analytics and apply website insights to keyword management, content, link building, and paid search to increase search ranking 
  • Execute content additions and changes to RepNet, our external sales representative portal (sales enablement tool) 
  • Assist with strategy development and lead the execution of social media to increase the conversation of Visa products 
  • Assist in the execution of digital advertising programs with industry partners 
  • e-Mail marketing - build and execute persona-based lifecycle email program as well as ad-hoc campaigns in MailChimp (or similar software tool) 
  • Oversee the management of leads including lead cleanup, de-duplication, unread lead reporting, and improve lead follow up processes with the sales team 
  • Gather metrics, analyze, and report on digital marketing performance via a monthly dashboard 

Communications 

  • Manage the distribution of completed communication projects to internal and external audiences 
  • Ensure that marketing communications aligns with overall brand and product strategy 
  • Assist in the development of and manage the execution of all press releases 
  • Engage with external marketing agencies and freelancers including digital marketing and traditional industry advertising agency partners when necessary 
  • Research and present opportunities for editorial coverage in trade publications; secure placement of press releases and advertisements in trade journals and conferences 
  • Work across the company to plan, design, write, edit and coordinate the production of marketing content, including blogs, video case studies, infographics, whitepapers, etc. 
  • Serve as the copywriting editor for press releases, literature, marketing materials, and other communications 
  • Deploy press releases via industry online library partners, mass media, and industry media 
  • Understand how competitors communicate in the marketplace and develop strategies to win customers 
  • Other duties as assigned 

EDUCATION PREFERRED/SPECIAL NOTES: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital marketing, communications, or a related field 

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED/SPECIAL NOTES:

  • Experience working in website / content management systems (CMS), basic HTML would be a plus 
  • Experience in applying organic search engine optimization (SEO) best practices 
  • Some experience in creating content for and managing social media in a business-to-business environment 
  • Experience in utilizing email marketing and customer management software tools (MailChimp, Hubspot, Marketo, Pardot, etc.) 
  • High proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
  • Fluent in Google Analytics software and translating data to initiatives 
  • Ability to analyze and present digital metrics 
  • Deep interest in keeping up with digital trends that can positively impact our business 
  • Some experience assisting in the execution of in-person trade shows and events 
  • Ability to interpret and apply brand standards to all digital, communications, and trade show elements 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines 
  • Proactive mindset and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment or independently

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extended periods of seated work, prolonged use of computer, occasional bending and lifting up to 50 lbs
